A full program of interesting events has been planned. There will once again be a variety of activities, including the Marketplace, a home tour, good food, and a chance to share your interest and love of Inuit art with fellow enthusiasts. This year you will have the opportunity to view a selection of Inuit films, including a special surprise feature length film that you will learn more about at the event itself.

We acknowledge the continuing financial support of the Canadian Consulate General of Canada and we are pleased that Dennis Moore from the Consulate’s Detroit Office will be present. Registration fees have been kept to a minimum in the hopes that you will support Inuit art available at the event.

This mailing is being sent to all current members of the IAS, individuals who have indicated an interest in the IAS, members of the Dennos Museum Center and members of the Mitchell Museum in Evanston, IL.

REGISTRATION

IAS Members - $35; Non-Members - $50

Both fees include the catered lunch on Saturday, October 20 as well as van transport later that day. Event participants attending the Saturday evening dinner, October 20, at the Leland Lodge are responsible for their own dinner charges.

ACCOMMODATIONS AND TRANSPORTATION

Twenty five rooms have been set aside for IAS at the Days Inn and Suites near the college campus. Those attending need to make their own arrangements with Days Inn at 420 Munson Avenue, Traverse City, MI 49686 by phone at (231) 941.0208 or (800) 982.3297 or Fax: (231) 941.7521. The rate quoted per night for a standard room with two double beds and complimentary breakfast is $92 plus 6% MI State Tax and 2% Local Tourism Assessment.

Individuals who fly to the Cherry Capital Airport (TVC) can request transportation from By The Bay Shuttle at (231) 932-1065. The transportation is complimentary from Days Inn but you need to remind the driver. Those who are driving will find ample parking and the parking is without charge.
